Role: Instructional Designer

Type: Contract, Contract to Hire

Location: Onsite in Mountain View, CA (Must be local!)

Requirements:  Experience designing and developing leadership management development programs


The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing and developing effective and engaging instructional materials for executive and leadership management development programs.  The Instructional Designer will need an innovative and creative approach to F2F training/learning experiences. The Instructional Designer must be exceptionally creative, well-organized, and able to meet aggressive deadlines. In addition, the candidate will:

  • Assess client needs to determine appropriate performance solutions.
  • Provide guidance and specialized knowledge to other members of the team.
  • Work with internal and external business partners to develop instructional strategies and learning materials to support the overall curriculum.
  • Use strong project management processes to ensure excellence and timely completion of development projects.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to assess the integrity of instructional materials and support the ongoing assessment of instructional effectiveness for all existing and future training programs.
  • Cultivate, develop and manage strong, lasting client relationships at a senior management level.
  • Make recommendations to management on options and critical learning and development process needs.
  • Assist in setting learning strategies for company-wide initiatives.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 6 – 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of work and education.
  • Thorough understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Distinctive ability to work with subject matter experts to gain knowledge of content and transform knowledge into effective learning solutions.
  • Demonstrated skill of succinct communication with executives and senior leaders.
  • Experience with performing various forms of business analysis.
  • Strong cross-functional influencing and engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
